A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT
Welcome to the University of Nebraska Lincoln Alpha Delta Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi. DSP is the leading business fraternity focused on bettering our brothers in every way we are able. We strive to go above and beyond in our involvement within the College of Business, our local Lincoln community, philanthropy, and the Nebraska business scene. Through this site, I hope you get a glimpse into our brotherhood and what we do that makes us the leading business fraternity on campus.
Since our Chapter’s founding in 1924, we have worked hard to be not just an organization, but an opportunity to expand your horizons beyond your imagination. With over 250,000 members across the nation and 250 collegiate chapters, our network is unparalleled. Since joining Delta Sigma Pi in November of 2016, I have had the opportunity to learn and grow personally and professionally, in a welcoming environment. When I came to the University of Nebraska I looked for ways to shrink the campus and meet new people in similar fields as me. I have been able to network with employers, build my business skills, and make lifetime friendships along the way. Through travel to national events, I have also been able to make nationwide connections with business professionals.
As a professional business fraternity, we have a passion for networking with individuals and companies in the Lincoln area as well as in the greater United States. As a national organization, we have strong relationships with Geico, Enterprise, as well as others. Within our chapter, we work closely with companies such as Hudl and Gallup. Our brothers have internships with KPMG, Deloitte, Ameritas, Assurity, Lutz, and more! We plan excursions to visit the organization’s offices as well as having them come and speak to our chapter about opportunities that they have available and a little about their company. We connect with the College of Business Career Center who work with us on resumes, interviews, LinkedIn and other professional development. Through this, we are better equipped for the workforce and are able to apply those skills to post-graduation endeavors.
Our involvement in the University and Lincoln community is at the forefront of our agenda each year. We participate yearly in The Big Event, create teams and raise money for Relay for Life, Dance Marathon, and the Out of Darkness Walk. Our National Philanthropy is the Ronald McDonald House Charities, where we raise money and collect pop tabs for their Omaha location. We, as a chapter, also have an annual philanthropy event that is in conjunction with The Spina Bifida Association of Star City.
We are consistently working towards bettering our involvement and relationship with the College of Business at UNL being that we are the largest and best-known business fraternity at Nebraska. Our brothers are involved in organizations within the Business school as well as across the entire University providing insight into broadening your horizons. Deltasigs are some of the most accomplished and recognized students at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Membership is that of a lifetime, and the relationships and values you learn will benefit you in every journey in your life. Delta Sigma Pi has given me much, and I am incredibly honored to serve as our fraternity’s
President and continue to give back in any way I am able. I hope that we can continue to grow and foster relationships and that you will choose to join our brotherhood.
